Louis Vuitton
Louis Vuitton is a French international house of French luxury leather goods, founded in 1854 by the trunk maker-packer, later on leather goods manufacturer, Louis Vuitton (1821-1892) whose work was continued and taken over by his descendants.
Louis Vuitton Malletier (trunk maker) is one of the main branches of the group LVMH – Moët Hennesy Louis Vuitton SA founded in 1987 and property of the billionaire Bernard Arnault since 1989.
Louis Vuitton is present in more than 53 countries in addition to France. The last stores have opened in Russia, in Moscow, in India, in New Dehli, in Lebanon in Beyrouth and in Romania, in Bucarest.
In 1998, the Louis Vuitton brand enters in a new field of competence: fashion. Since then, the brand has ready-to-wear, shoes, accessories and jewelry departments with the new artistic director Marc Jacobs.
Since May 5, 2010 Vuitton has its new commercial director, Jules Kühn (son of the German director of VSD Hamburg). Thanks to his eccentricity, Vuitton became one of the luxury must-have brands in a very short time.
